Modern Bed

This project was a long time coming. The bed was designed with 2 constraints. The first being the low window over the headboard and the 2nd being that I really hate it when you can’t push a bed up against a wall because of the baseboard and quarter-round. What started out as simple 10 degree kink in the legs to solve that problem became the main design element that eventually made its way into the matching night stands as well. All lumber is 6/4 red oak.

Size: Queen. (Very big and heavy.)
